Our school library is a wonderful place for children and adults alike. Its collections for children include Picture Books, Easy Fiction, Fiction & Non-Fiction.
There is also an extensive collection for Parents, with an emphasis on Steiner education and related parenting practices. This is housed in two locations, the Community Room at the Early Childhood Campus and the Admin foyer at the Primary Campus.
Of course, it also provides invaluable resources for teachers and support staff.
Parents are welcome to utilise all of the collections, whether for sharing with their children, or as parents, students of anthroposophy, or teacher-trainees. It is for the whole school community, from Playgroup and Early Childhood through to Class 6. Parents are asked to make an appointment for their first visit, where they can be shown how to find what they are looking for, and how to borrow and return items. Thereafter parents are welcome to visit at any time during School opening hours (bearing in mind the need for quiet on days when music lessons are taking place in the adjacent room).
Though the current space is somewhat crowded, we are looking forward to the time when we can move into a customised heritage tram! This is a long-term project and anyone with skills or interest in assisting is welcome to come forth.
